Verse 1
On the first day of creation, God made light, On the second day, God made the clear blue sky;
On the third day of creation, dry land appeared,
And He called the seas together, Where they've been for many years.
Verse 2
On the fourth day of creation, the stars shone bright, The moon in its splendor, And the sun with glorious light;
On the fifth day of creation, all the fishes swam the sea, And the birds flew in God's Heaven, Filled the sky abundantly.
Verse 3
On the sixth day of creation, came the lion and bear so strong, All the mammals God created, And to them the earth was home;
Then He scooped up in His mighty hand, With special love and care,
Made man in His own image, And creation ended there.
Verse 4
"It is good", God said, "It's finished, I have given of my best" Then the seventh day He sanctified, And used it for His rest;
Now with all of life created, Beauty filled each part of earth, God had done the mighty miracle, Creation had its birth.
